Until the market hears some good news regarding the debt default problems in Europe. From a technical standpoint I expect a small retracement before continuation of downtrend. Possibly it will try to test the 1.30xx psychological resistance line.

But let's not forget that tomorrow we've got NFP so maybe a good NFP report will give eur/usd some support - hahaha..a good NFP report...

Yeah, that's one of the advantages of being a whale in the forex market, you can muscle out all the itty bitty fish and make a big splash with one move.

On a bit different note, it looks like eur/usd is tending toward making a comeback...at least that's what RSI and MACD on the daily lead me to believe..but as always fundies can change all that...

Got this in my mailbox this morning from Forex Peace Army

Due to global warming resulting Washington, D.C. to be under the snow,
US Retail Sales has been rescheduled from Thursday to Friday,
also 8:30 a.m. NY time

Nice to know global warming is finally doing something...

So what do you think guys, will US retail sales be a big disappointment? I'd wager yes...

I would be shocked if retail sales showed improvement.

In my area our Canadian brothers historically helped stimulate sales a bit, but the 2 currencies are almost even, nullifying any benefit for them to come across the border.

Yep, it's not worth it for Canadians to shop across the border at the moment. If commodities start to pickup really strongly CAD will skyrocket and then once USD/CAD breaks parity you'll soon start seeing eager Canadian shoppers flooding in.

A strong CAD is not good at all for our exporters. Personally I favor a strong USD, but given the stupid fiscal and monetary policies of the US Government I would not be surprised if the dollar tanks further. Right now traders and investors are flocking to it because of the falsely perceived notion of "safety"

Jayman, you better pray USA doesn't become the next Japan (the lost decade).
