It is possible. Does it get "stuck" at a particular part while loading the page? It may be one of the banner ads slowing things down.

Is anyone else having the same problem? For me the forum is pretty snappy.

I think though I'm gonna have to dish over some $ for a beefy server.

No problems for me.

forexdude - are you running Firefox with any Greasmonkey scripts or other add-ons? Sometimes they can interfere with ads loading.

Seems to be lagging a bit for me. Not really bad but I have seen it load faster.

Hmm, I guess it all depends on where you're located. The server is located in Houston, Texas, so naturally if you're on the other side of the world the load times are going be slower than if you're in Florida or Chicago for example.

Like I said, I do have plans to upgrade the web hosting packages.

I think Texas is a pretty good central point. I think most of the time is just my ISP.

Yep, I'd say it's a very good central point. The server is hosted with The Planet which has some really beefy internet pipes, so bandwidth is no problem. What happened before I think is I had banners (on the left side) loading from foreign sites, which sometimes were really slow. Their delay in loading slowed the entire site down. I've removed them now and replaced them with Google AdSense for forum support so that should no longer be a problem.

Well it was slow on that specific day. The load time seems fine now.
